Benjamin Marcello was founded in 2019 by Ilja Rijs. The business grew out of Ilja’s long-standing passion for collectable watches and a clear, focused view on what truly matters in collecting: Originality, condition and quality, defined by trust.
Before establishing Benjamin Marcello, Ilja gained experience at Christie’s and Schaap & Citroen. Working within these renowned institutions shaped his understanding of quality, market standards, and above all the importance of careful evaluation. That background continues to define the way Benjamin Marcello operates today.
