PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
This Boucheron Carrée is a superb example of Parisian craftsmanship from the 1970s, distinguished by its refined geometry and subtle opulence. The 18k yellow gold case features Boucheron’s ingenious “Reflet” jewellery clasp system — a seamless design that prioritizes elegance and wearability.
What makes this piece especially noteworthy is its case maker: Lucien Menant, identified by the (LsM) hallmark within the gold case. It is highly unusual to find a Menant-made case for Boucheron watches. Menant was based just outside Paris, in the same village where other celebrated craftsmen such as Jules Person produced high-grade gold cases for Omega, Boucheron, and other maisons destined for the French market.
The solid gold brushed dial bears no logo — only the elegant, sword-shaped hands that define Boucheron’s minimalist design philosophy: creating jewellery that tells the time, rather than watches that merely adorn the wrist. Inside ticks a beautifully finished manual-wind movement, adjusted and decorated to Boucheron’s demanding standards.
