Boucheron ‘Cushion’ 15034 18k Yellow Gold circa 1972

Boucheron, renowned for its exquisite jewellery, also started making watches in the 1940’s. Their watches are known for their creative designs, the quality of their materials, and their innovative jewellery solutions.

Blending horological expertise with artistic flair, is something I also see with Piaget and Cartier. Boucheron is a perfect third addtion to that list, as all these brands have earned their stripes with high-quality jewellery, and later with watches. In addition, Boucheron watches where made in low quantities, when compared to other watch brands at the time, like Omega, Cartier, Piaget etc. This surrounds the watch with a very elegant, exclusive and high-quality feel.

This example still features it original strap and buckle, and the hallmarks on the case have been preserved in excellent condition. The ‘Boucheron Paris’-engraving on the case back has been done entirely by hand too! The ‘cushion’ design of the watch, reminds me of the 1920’s designs from Patek Philippe and Vacheron Constantin. A true masterpiece!
