‘Aah, freak out! Le freak… c’est chic!’ In the year of 1977, the legendary discotheque Studio 54, opens its doors in New York. Stars and celebrities such as Micheal Jackson, Andy Warhol and Diana Ross were on spotted on the floors of Studio 54. Nile Rodgers and Bernard Edwards from the legendary disco band ‘Chic’ were rejected from the legendary Studio 54, after which they made the song, ‘Le freak’. 1977 was also the year, that George Lucas’ first Star Wars film made its debut in theatres across the U.S., and the Rocky theme song, ‘Gonna Fly Now’, was released. In short, 1977 was an iconic year which birthed legendary creations, which has influenced our culture and who we are today.

We can imagine ourselves that this 1970’s Corum watch would have been very well suited for being present on the celebrity-filled dance floor of Studio 54 in New York. The boldness, extravagant colours and exotic materials used, make a very unusual collectors piece, which embodies the late 1970’s, and early 1980’s time spirit.

Pay tribute to your beloved 1970’s, and 1980’s nostalgia and strap this daring and exclusive Corum watch on your wrist. We know Al Pacino and Robert de Niro would find it very suiting. It can’t get better then this!

The watch itself is in exquisite condition, featuring its original bevels and finishing. This all original and extravagant 1970’s Corum watch is fitted with a manual wind movement. The 18kt yellow gold case features a black lacquered dial with pave set diamonds. 128 diamonds, to be precise.

In short, an amazing find from 1970’s which takes you back to an unmatched period, which we all love. Back in the day, this watch must have cost fortunes…
