PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
This Eska Calatrava is a remarkable and virtually untouched time capsule from the 1950’s, preserved in true New Old Stock (NOS) condition. Watches of this quality and completeness from the post-war era are uncommon, especially from independent Swiss brands that worked with some of the finest case makers of the time.
The 18k rose-gold case was crafted by C.R. Spillmann & Co. SA, one of the most respected case manufacturers of the mid-20th century, known for producing cases for Patek Philippe, Vacheron Constantin and other top-tier maisons. The warm tone of the rose gold pairs beautifully with the silver brushed dial, which is accented by applied, faceted pink-gold markers that catch the light with subtle elegance.
Inside beats an automatic bumper movement, a hallmark of early automatic watchmaking and a defining technical feature of the era. Measuring 34.5 mm, the watch offers excellent vintage proportions and a strong yet refined wrist presence. Completing this extraordinary find are the original box, tag and buckle, making this Eska a rare and complete survivor.
