PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
Just like the Rolex Millgaus, the IWC Ingenieur was developed to withstand extreme magnetic fields while maintaining precise timekeeping. Despite the considerable ‘dressy’ looks on this IWC from 1963, it is definitely considered a tool watch for this reason, and an early one too! The in-house developed IWC caliber 8531 is covered by an extra plate, which keeps the magnetic energies from getting to the movement. The watch is furthermore complimented by its original IWC bracelet, which was made by the company Gay Freres, in Zwitserland. The same manufacturer made bracelets for among others Patek Philippe and Rolex. Top notch stuff! Warm and evenly spread patina covers the elegant Dauphine hands. On the side of the well-preserved case, the original signed IWC crown shows. Overal, this IWC Ingenieur is a testament to originality and iconic vintage status. Just the way we like it. Now, new adventures lay ahead for this proper vintage tool watch.
