This Jaeger-LeCoultre Reverso is an exceptionally rare and historically important example of the early first executions of the iconic model. dating to 1948, based on the movement number. A period when the design was still being defined and produced in very small numbers.

The stainless-steel case features matching numbers across the bezel, case back, and movement protector (XXX-437), a crucial detail that confirms originality and integrity. Even more remarkable is the presence of the original radium dial with centre seconds! An beautiful configuration for early Reverso’s and a detail rarely encountered today. The Arabic radium numerals further enhance the watch’s strong Art-Deco and utilitarian character.

Powering the watch is the Jaeger-LeCoultre calibre 437, a movement used in these early generation Reverso references and known for its robustness and being very well finished. Measuring 23 x 38 mm, the proportions are iconic for the Reverso line.
