PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
Fascinating Jaeger-LeCoultre Uniplan from the 1940’s, with a black dial with applied Arabic numerals, in the early JLC-style.
The watch features an innovative case construction. The stainless steel case (22 x 37 mm), consists of two parts which are joined by the lug bars, which hold the strap. It’s like a ‘brandcard’, while the upper part sits neatly on top of the lower part, creating a beautiful and unconventional design. As you can see, the watch is in great condition, featuring original brushing and well defined edges.
I’ve been in touch with JLC about this watch, due to its uncommon case. They wrote, that the movement number dates back to 1935, and the case number to 1944. They found this gap to significant to grant it an extract. The two case parts are matching numbers! Now is your chance to obtain a terrific example of a rising brand within vintage, with an original black dial.
