PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
Launched in the mid-1950s, the Longines Conquest line represented the brand’s commitment to refined sportiness, mechanical innovation, and elegant casework. This Ref. 9000/2, dating to circa 1955, is a standout example from the early years of the Conquest series, notable for its combination of preserved detail and bold dial presence.
The 35 x 43 mm stainless steel case remains unpolished, with crisp lugs and sharp lines throughout—something rarely seen in examples of this age. The dial is a striking black gilt, richly reflective and accented with applied faceted markers, each beautifully finished to catch the light. At the heart of the watch is the Longines 19AS, an early automatic movement known for its robustness and smooth winding.
On the reverse, the original green enamel Longines medallion is still present and beautifully intact—a coveted feature of early Conquest models and a mark of its untouched condition.
