PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
Longines ‘Tank’ in Staybrite steel case and original sector dial with a unique curved case, intended for the French market. This example dates back to circa 1937. Up to this date, the case still shows the factory brushing. I dare to say this watch has never been polished! The finishing, curved and edges create a extraordinary presence on the wrist.
The freshly serviced, in-house cal. 25.17 is a testimony of Longines commitment to quality, especially in this early era. Even my watch maker was impressed by the construction and finishing of the caliber. It has matching numbers within the case parts, and is fitted with a 15 mm handmade Hermès-style strap. The colour of the strap is chosen to match the colour of the blue steeled hands.
