Stainless steel. Furthermore, the watch bears the nickname ‘Tre Tacche’. Translated, it means three notches, which refers to the heavy screwed case back construction. This nickname was adopted by the Italian watch collector’s community for these early Longines time only wristwatches with these type of case backs.

Condition
Finding honest and original vintage Longines watches from the 1930-1940’s era is a true challenge for most collectors and dealers. This example dates back to 1939, and was invoiced to the company Terrasse, which was an agent for Longines at the time in Sweden. This information was provided by Longines, based on the serial number which is visible on the movement.
