Longines ‘Weems’ 4630 Canadian Market Pilot’s Watch from 1942

Incredible Longines Pilot’s watch from 1942, for the Canadian market incl. Extract from the Archives and period correct, NOS leather strap and buckle. The stainless steel case measures 34 x 41 mm and has been preserved in excellent condition, as well goes for the original radium dial. The rotatable bezel is locked by the lower crown, and still show signs of its original bushing and finishing. A historical and important ‘Weems’ wristwatch from one of my favourite brands, which carries many untold stories. Who knows where and in what situations this watch was worn…? Most probably by a young (fighter) pilot.
