PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
This Omega Constellation ref. 168.004 is an exceptionally rare and beautifully preserved example of Omega’s flagship chronometer line, distinguished here by its original black gilt dial. This is one of the most coveted and hardest-to-find dial variants in the entire Constellation family, especially, in all original condition. The deep black background paired with warm gilt printing creates a striking visual contrast, giving the watch a richness and depth rarely seen in vintage Omega pieces.
Housed in a solid 14k yellow gold case with, this Constellation catches the refined mid-century design language that made the model a symbol of precision and prestige. The applied gold baton markers enhance the dial’s luxurious appearance, while the measurements (35.5 x 40.5 mm) offer a well-balanced presence on the wrist.
Powering the watch is Omega’s in-house calibre 561, a chronometer-rated automatic movement celebrated for its accuracy, reliability and beautifully finished architecture. This example comes complete with its original box and papers, a particularly rare find that significantly adds to its collectability. Finished with a new handmade leather strap, the watch is ready to be worn or appreciated as a standout piece in any vintage collection.
