This rugged Rolex tool watch, was crafted to tackle a specific challenge. The Rolex Explorer II features an additional orange 24-hour hand, affectionately dubbed the ‘Freccione’ or ‘Big Arrow’. With its original engraved 24-hour scaled bezel, this Rolex tool watch helps adventurers to maintain a sense of time during extended explorations, particularly in the sun-deprived reaches of the far North, or inside large caves.

Within the 38 mm measuring Rolex Oyster case, runs the reliable automatic Rolex caliber 1575, ensuring precision and reliability. The case features its beautiful original shape, and sharp edges around the lugs. Furthermore, this exquisitely well preserved Rolex Explorer II from 1981, comes with a beautiful vintage Rolex box.

This watch comes from a Dutch collector who’s had it for over 15 years in his collection. When handling the watch, it becomes clear that it was very well taken care of (The collector, only wore it a couple of times a year…). Mechanically, it’s top-notch too. The work horse Rolex movement runs with an amplitude of circa 290 degrees, + 3 seconds a day.
