Rolex Oyster Viceroy ‘Mini’ 18k Yellow Gold Sector Dial from 1938

Extraordinary Rolex Viceroy from 1938, in a like-new condition! The case condition is absolutely out of this world for its age, and opening it reveals many to discover. The presence of the original metal plate, which goes between the dust cover and case back is something we never encounter on Rolex watches from this era. This also goes for the dust cover itself. These amazing details are so rare to find on a watch from the late 1930’s! Did you see, that one of the two fixed lugs, has the last three digits of the serial number stamped on it?

The mint condition Rolex movement is freshly serviced and runs immaculate. This watch, with its sector dial, like-new case, and all the little details which count, makes this a truly unique vintage Rolex find. This impressive package compensates the delicate size of this wrist-jewel, with great ease. The watch was by an antique clock collector on a flea market in France, this also emphasizes its original ‘un-messed-with’  provenance. Also, the ‘FAB SUISSE’ signature are seen on Rolex watches which were destined for the French market.
