PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
This Vacheron Constantin reference 4066 is an elegant Calatrava in 18k yellow gold, with the case made by Spillmann SA, one of the most respected case makers of the period. The proportions of 34 x 42 mm give the watch a strong yet refined presence on the wrist. The highlight of this watch is its original guilloché dial with small subsidiary seconds. The fine guilloché work adds depth and texture, while the applied yellow gold hour markers and Arabic quarters create a balanced and highly legible layout.
Power comes from the Vacheron Constantin calibre P453/3B manual wind movement, a high quality in house movement from the early 1950’s. Produced in approximately 1952, this example is very difficult to find in this configuration and comes complete with its original Vacheron Constantin strap and 18k yellow gold buckle.
