Vacheron Constantin 6073 18k Yellow Gold with ‘Extract from the Archives’, Original Box and Strap 1956

The case design of this beautiful Vacheron Constantin 6073 was brought to life in 1955, when Vacheron Constantin celebrated in 200th anniversary as a company. The lugs of the case make Maltese cross, the logo of Vacheron Constantin (which is also applied on the raised enamel dial, above the ‘Vacheron & Constantin Genève’-signature).

The 18k yellow gold case measures 35 x 44 mm and features a heavy screw down case back. The proportions give the watch strong wrist presence while maintaining elegant lines. The silver, raised enamel dial, is one of the most exceptional configurations seen on this model. It features facetted 18k yellow gold hour markers and a brushed Calatrava-style minute track, combining depth, texture, and elegance.

The watch carries the automatic Vacheron Constantin 12” 1019 movement, a high quality in-house movement from the period. This watch was produced in 1956, and comes with an official ‘Extract of the Archives’ from Vacheron Constantin, full service documentation from the manufacture, its rare original wooden box, original strap, and 18k yellow gold buckle.

The strap currently fitted is made of exotic leather. For buyers outside of the European Union, a handmade black Epsom leather strap will be fitted instead, as the exotic species strap may not be accepted by customs authorities.
