Vacheron Constantin 6592 18k Yellow Gold with ‘Extract from the Archives’, Original Box and Strap 1966

This Vacheron Constantin reference 6592 is a large and impressive automatic dress watch in 18k yellow gold. Produced in 1966, this example comes with an official Extract of the Archives from Vacheron Constantin as well as full service documentation from the manufacture. It is accompanied by its rare original burgundy red box, original NOS strap, and 18k yellow gold buckle. A large case, pristine condition, extensive documentation, and full originality make this a highly attractive example from the mid 1960’s.

The case measures 36 x 40 mm and features elegant cow horn lugs. The heavy screw down case back adds both presence and durability, while maintaining refined proportions. The silver dial is fitted with applied yellow gold hour markers and includes a date function, offering a balanced and practical layout. Power comes from the Vacheron Constantin calibre 12” 1072 automatic movement, a well regarded in house calibre from the period.

The strap currently fitted is made of exotic leather. For buyers outside of the European Union, a handmade black Epsom leather strap will be fitted instead, as the exotic species strap may not be accepted by customs authorities.
