This example dates back to the late 1950’s (this is based on the serial number which is visible on the movement). Furthermore, a striking feature of this watch is its 18k yellow gold case. This case design was brought to life in 1955, when Vacheron Constantin celebrated in 200th anniversary as a company. The lugs of the case make Maltese cross, the logo of Vacheron Constantin (which is also applied on the raised enamel dial, above the ‘Vacheron & Constantin Genève’-signature).

The condition of this late 1950’s dress watch is simply stunning. Most of these dress watches from this era have been polished many times, which causes the original and pristine case shape to disappear. This example has been preserved in a magnificent condition, both visually and technically. On the watch case, the original sharp edges and bevels are still visible, making this a desirable collectors piece.
